Ballyrogan Expression - Arklow Library

March 2026 – Arklow, Co. Wicklow – A new exhibition presented by Ballyrogan Expression will open at Arklow Library, bringing together an exciting and diverse range of works from established artists with deep roots in Ireland’s creative landscape. Running from March 7th to March 30th, 2025, the exhibition features a compelling mix of painting, printmaking, and photography.

The artists featured in this exhibition include:

  • Andrew Manson, a distinguished painter and art director known for his work in independent films and international exhibitions.

  • Attracta Manson, a fine artist and printmaker whose mixed media works explore layered narratives.

  • Sarah Manson, an artist and curator whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, filmmaking, and printmaking. https://www.sarahevamansonart.com/

  • Anthony Kavanagh is a Wicklow-based street photographer who explores the everyday, focusing on gestures, glances, interactions, and the in-between moments of daily life. He is drawn to chance, contrast, and fleeting moments, finding meaning in ordinary scenes shaped by light, shadow, and the rhythm of everyday life. The prints on display invite viewers to pause and notice the ordinary with fresh eyes.

A Celebration of Art, Legacy & Experimentation

The exhibition highlights the interconnected nature of artistic practice, featuring works that range from traditional fine art to experimental contemporary techniques. The show brings together artists with a shared creative background while celebrating their distinct individual voices.

Sarah Eva Manson

Sarah Eva Manson is a visual artist and curator whose research-led practice explores memory, perception and the evolving language of landscape. A graduate of NCAD, Manson has developed a practice rooted in research, critical reflection and sustained engagement with contemporary visual culture. Sarah is the Founder of Ballyrogan Expression.

Andrew Manson

He specialises in fine art painting but also works in photography, performance and film. His work embraces the tradition of remembrance in art and daily practice. Andrew's works have been selected for the RHA 1982, 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively. Andrew is the founder of Ballyrogan House

Attracta Manson

is a graduate of NCAD, Dublin, in Fine Art Painting (2009). Her works are collected by the OPW, Dept of Foreign Affairs, The Central Bank and many private collectors and have been selected for exhibitions both nationally and internationally.

Attracta had a subtle, minimalistic approach. Her work reflects concepts of identity and explores the painting process used to distort, transform and interpret ideas that can only be realised in painting.
